When it comes to food, the Greeks have it completely right, don’t they? Just look at those tomatoes… that feta!

Ahhh, gyros. I love them, but what I love more than ANYTHING is chicken souvlaki on a pita w/ fresh garlicky tzatziki and plump, ripe tomatoes w/ tangy red onions… I prefer the juicy, less salty and greasy chunks of not-processed meat on my pita, which is probably not the norm, but hey. I’m a unique kind of Greek. :)
And there are definitely places in Chicago (well, the southside) where you can get a yummy chicken souvlaki pita…

Oh, I am dreaming of Greece! I have said I would never go there with my husband because that is where he met his first wife, but obviously I need to get over myself because this looks amazing!

Oh, I love all the pictures. It’s been a few years since we were in Greece and we didn’t get tto visit that awesome museum. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
